What this part is

Factory-calibrated QHD colour accuracy | USB Type-C with up to 96W power delivery | 144Hz variable refresh rate | Ergonomic fully adjustable stand | VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified

Colour-accurate performance for the modern South African creative professional

The ASUS ProArt Display PA278CGV is a 27-inch QHD professional monitor built for creative professionals who cannot afford to compromise on colour truth. Whether you are retouching photographs, editing video, or preparing artwork for print, this display delivers factory-calibrated colour accuracy with a guaranteed Delta E of less than 2, so what you see on screen is precisely what your audience will see. Calman Verified and covering 95% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB, it is the bedrock of a serious creative workstation.

Colour you can trust, straight out of the box

Tired of spending hours calibrating a new monitor before you can begin actual work? The PA278CGV ships with a factory calibration report and is Calman Verified, guaranteeing Delta E less than 2 right from the first switch-on. The IPS panel renders 1073.7 million colours at 10-bit depth, with 178-degree wide viewing angles ensuring consistent colour representation regardless of your position. ProArt Preset modes — including sRGB, DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, BT.709, BT.2020, DICOM and HDR PQ — let you switch colour gamuts instantly to match your project's delivery standard.

One cable to power, connect, and create

The integrated USB Type-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, USB data transmission, and up to 96W of power delivery — meaning a single cable from your laptop keeps it charged, connected, and transmitting a full QHD signal simultaneously. The monitor also functions as a USB hub with USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and the Auto KVM switch lets you control two connected devices with a single keyboard and mouse. DisplayPort 1.4 with daisy-chain support means you can extend your workspace to a second monitor from one video source, keeping your desk clean and your workflow uninterrupted.

Smooth visuals and a stand built for long hours

A 144Hz variable refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium and Adaptive-Sync ensures fluid, tear-free visuals whether you are scrubbing through high-frame-rate footage or conducting motion quality checks. VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and HDR10 support bring additional depth and luminance to HDR content at up to 400 cd/m² peak brightness. When the hours stretch on, the fully ergonomic stand accommodates tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment so you can maintain a comfortable posture throughout the day. ASUS Flicker-Free technology and Low Blue Light support further reduce eye fatigue during extended sessions.

Features

Factory-calibrated with Calman Verified colour accuracy — Delta E less than 2 guaranteed, with calibration report included.

27-inch QHD (2560x1440) IPS panel with 178-degree wide viewing angles and anti-glare display surface for consistent, fatigue-free viewing.

USB Type-C connectivity supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, USB data transmission, and up to 96W power delivery — one cable does it all.

144Hz variable refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium and Adaptive-Sync for smooth, tear-free rendering.

VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified with HDR10 support and 400 cd/m² peak brightness for enhanced depth in HDR content.

Auto KVM switch lets you control two connected devices with one keyboard and mouse for a streamlined dual-device workflow.

DisplayPort 1.4 daisy-chain output enables a multi-monitor workstation from a single video source.

Fully ergonomic stand with tilt, swivel, pivot (90° clockwise and anticlockwise) and height adjustment; 100x100mm VESA mount compatible.

Specifications

Screen Size: 27"

Resolution: 2560x1440 (QHD)

Panel Type: IPS

Refresh Rate: 144Hz

Response Time: 5ms

Aspect Ratio: 16:9

Brightness: 350

HDR Support: HDR10, VESA DisplayHDR 400

Adaptive Sync: AMD FreeSync Premium, Adaptive-Sync

Video Inputs:

USB Type-C x1 (DP Alt Mode)

DisplayPort 1.4 x1

HDMI (v2.0) x2

USB Type-C Input / PD: 90W

Built-in Speakers: Yes

Height Adjustable Stand: Yes

VESA Mount: 100x100mm

Colour: Black/Silver

Warranty: 36 months

Product Dimensions: 61.2 x 19 x 53.6 cm

Product Weight: 6600g

What's in the Box

ASUS ProArt Display PA278CGV – Black/Silver x1

Power Cord x1

USB Type-C Cable (optional) x1

HDMI Cable (optional) x1

DisplayPort cable (optional) x1

Calibration Report x1

Quick Start Guide x1

Warranty Card x1
